The SRC can edit web site content provided by a client to insure it includes the necessary keywords and phrases that will help generate search engine traffic.
Copy Writing for Web Sites
While writing copy for a web site follows many of the same guidelines found in other marketing materials, it differs in several important ways.
Search Engines and web site text
Once again, the Keyword List plays an important role. As discussed in the design and layout of a web site, Search Engines are looking for actual text that utilizes the keywords and phrases contained in a browser’s search. And, they are most interested in the first HTML text found on each page of a web site. To create the proper balance between keywords and the text that surrounds them often requires repeating keywords more frequently than would normally be considered good “writing.”
Copy Writing and the “active” audience
The audience that chose certain keywords to use in their search will be looking for those words on each page of a web site they view. It is important to use keywords and phrases in the more visible areas of a page like headings and subheads found throughout the text. Not only will they make keywords more apparent and convincing to your audience, it will also aid in achieving higher Search Engine rankings.
